In Math classes at EHS, we focus on balancing conceptual understanding with procedural fluency. Our math instruction throughout grades 7-12 focus on:

• Encouraging student growth through problem-solving and hands-on learning
• Immersing students in real-world learning opportunities
• Using accessible, meaningful contexts to build on students’ knowledge
• Centering student discourse
• Implementing conceptually based tasks with low-floor high ceiling tasks to allow full student participation
