The English High School in Jamaica Plain, founded in 1821, is now in its sixth location. Located close to public transportation, The Arboretum, The Franklin Park Zoo, and the MDC, it is a truly unique, urban school serving a diverse population of over 1,200 students from several countries. In 1972 the school admitted its first female students.

	Kimberly Lamarre Awarded Foundation Scholarship EHS Senior Kimberly Lamarre is one of three recipients this year of the Richard Trifiro Foundation scholarship from Atlantic Management. Congratulations Kimberly!
	Students Travel to D.C. for Youth Summit A group of EHS students attended a youth summit in WA, D.C. this week. They posed for a photo with U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan.
	EHS Students Become Published Authors! 11th Grade Students at the English High School publish a collection of Essays and Short Stories written in conjunction with 826 Boston. Come join them in celebration of this achievement on Tuesday, June 1st from 6pm-8pm in the EHS library!
